International Women’s Day 2020
On 8 March, UNESCO-UNEVOC joined the global celebrations to mark International Women’s Day. In line with its ongoing work to empower women in and through technical and vocational education and training (TVET) – and particularly in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields – UNESCO-UNEVOC reemphasized its commitment to promoting gender equality in all facets of TVET.

First UNESCO-UNEVOC Global OER Grant Programme
In November 2019, UNESCO Member States adopted a Recommendation on Open Educational Resources (OER)- a key tool for the achievement of SDG4. As a follow-up to this recommendation, UNESCO-UNEVOC launched its First Global OER Grant Programme for the development of such resources for TVET on 3 December 2019.

2019 UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme
The 2019 UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme was launched on June 24 at the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre in Bonn, Germany.
